Why We Chose to Use DocuSign

I asked Jeff Shannon, our Marketing Director, to help write a piece on why we use DocuSign.

We like to think of ourselves as a customer service company and we try to do things as efficiently as possible.

Our business model is focused around providing telecom services with unified billing in an extremely easy manner. Customers are able to get their phone lines, internet, conferencing services, sip trunks, and hosted VoIP all through OneVoice. They only have to deal with one bill and one phone number to call for customer care and support. Our job is to take all of the burden out of their hands, so that they can get back to doing what they do best – running their business.

Contracts are a necessary obstacle when it comes to providing services, and we wanted to find a way that we can go through the contract process as efficiently as possible.

A few years ago we decided to try using an electronic signature platform for our order/quote process to see if we could improve the flow of work.

We decided on DocuSign and have been very pleased with the results.

It’s Actually Really Easy

What we found by using DocuSign is how easy it is to get the necessary documents to our customers quickly and safely.

The steps are so easy:

  • We upload our documents to DocuSign
  • Tag the fields we need the customer to sign
  • Add their emails to the document
  • A link is sent to all of the parties included on the document
  • The customer visits the document online, reviews, and signs it electronically
  • This allows us to track documents and notify us when they are signed – without any wasted time.

This is all done on line with no need to print out the paperwork, thus saving the environment and reducing costs, and everything can be tracked on your computer, Smartphone or your tablet. Everyone knows, regardless of whether it is day or night, the progress of the contract signing. This means no more following up via phone or email, thus freeing up valuable time for our customers – so they can concentrate on the importance of running their business.
