Jennifer Holdaway, Mortgage officer of Bank of the James

Our first episode of “Your Voice” with John Balser of 2020 we have Jennifer Holdaway, Mortgage Officer at the Bank of the James in Blacksburg, VA. Jennifer has been with the Bank of the James since March of 2019 and was previously working in finance for 17 years. She describes the Bank of the James to be unique because they will be with you from the first stages of the mortgage process to the end where you’re closing. Jennifer values her relationships with her clients and always respects their decisions which is what makes herself and Bank of the James truly stand out.

Not only is Jennifer very good at her job, she also is heavily involved in the Blacksburg community.  Her volunteering at her church includes working with kids to helping out with events.  Jennifer helped to start her church, which began holding services at a local school and she has been present ever since inviting people into a safe and open environment, even if they don’t typically attend church. Jennifer and her husband have a daughter and her husband serves on the police force in the Blacksburg area.

Bank of the James in Blacksburg purely focuses on mortgages at the moment but hopes to soon become a full operating bank.
